100 Days of Code

Projects and Progress

It has been much more difficult than I anticipated to keep up with the #100DaysOfCode challenge, learning and doing the Free Code Camp course, working, and then trying to find the time to write about it as well.

It has been impossible in fact. I admit it. Just not enough hours in the day. My github log fell by the wayside some time ago, as frustrating algorithm problems took over my life. Thank goodness I have a code mentor who has guided and helped me along the way, as there have been a couple of times where I was tempted to give up.

As frustrating as it has been at times, I have learnt a lot over the last two months. I am almost at day 80 of the challenge, I have completed the Javascript Advanced Algorithm challenges on Free Code Camp and am starting the advanced projects with a lot more confidence in my abilities than I have ever had. I feel proud of myself.

I have saved all of my algorithm solutions as Gists on github, so please take a look if you need help. It is one solution of many other possible solutions, it may not be the best, but it is currently my best shot!

I am currently working on the Javascript Calculator project, things seem a little less hectic right now so I have taken some time to play with CSS Grid in order to build the calculator design. I will post a link in a new post once it is complete. Here are links to my intermediate projects on Codepen which have been completed. You can also follow my progress and give me a thumbs up on twitter.
